But are you sure you really know everything about this land? Are you also curious to know more to be able to take, finally, that important step? Buying a property in Croatia is your dream, but you fear that it is complicated to achieve?

So, if you are already imagining yourself on one of the most beautiful beaches in Croatia, or intent on discovering the wonderful beauties of the past that still illuminate this nation, you are in the right place! We at Realigro have created a really functional mini guide that will answer all your questions. What do you have to do? Simply make yourself comfortable and write down the following information!  Let's start!

First, let's start with a bit of history, full of meaning. This land in fact does not have a past certainly pleasant, as it has always been the subject of domination and wars. In 1991, however, it managed to redeem itself, becoming an independent nation, after more than 70 years, had been an integral part of the former Yugoslavia. Croatia is currently a semi-presidential parliamentary republic and is also the first country in the Balkans that has decided to join the European Union, second only to Slovenia.

What are the documents to be able to enter Croatia?

It is always necessary to have a valid travel document for expatriation, even for underage travelers. Since April 7, 2017, in fact, have been authorized more incisive controls. Croatia is not yet a member of the Schengen area and the passport must be valid for 90 days to be able to stay safely in this country.

In Croatia there is bilingualism, which is why in addition to the official language, Croatian, is also spoken Italian. But, even in this case, if you have a good knowledge of English, you will not encounter difficulties.  As far as the local economy is concerned, the country is opening up to international trade transactions, recording very satisfactory results.

Industrial production is the spearhead of the Croatian economy, since the products derived from this activity account for more than 97% of exports. For this reason, more and more entrepreneurs are deciding to invest in Croatia, creating new employment opportunities. The tax burden is really minimal and obviously favours the establishment of new start-ups, and this has also been a strength for this country, small but really open to new developments. We must also not forget that Zagreb, the capital, is a very important financial centre in the entire Balkan region.

But how much does it cost to live in Croatia?

The answer is: little! The country allows to have a medium-high standard of living even with a maximum of 700 euros per month (including rent, basic necessities and subscriptions for transport and other services).

Health is also a favorable point for Croatia, especially, in recent years, was created the so-called "dental tourism" which has brought a large number of tourists to enjoy the natural beauty of Croatia and at the same time, to treat and improve their smile.

Now we come to the most interesting part of our guide and that all of you have been waiting for. Buying a property in Croatia. Well, you should know that, if you are looking for a property here to spend your vacation, or simply if you want to move to this wonderful land, the costs are really reduced. Compared to many other tourist destinations, in fact, to buy a property, prices start from 1,000 euros per square meter, up to a maximum of 2,500 euros.

Regardless of the choice between buying or signing a lease, we strongly recommend you visit this place, now that you have all the papers in order to do so!
