How much and how to buy a house in Austria ?
There are some local variations:
First of all, let's dispel the myth that in Austria it costs too much to buy a house.
The average price is the same as in Europe.
According to the procedural rule, the buyer makes an offer including the basic characteristics of the house for the future contract, drawn up by a lawyer or a notary.
The latter is based on two stages: the offer (also verbal) and the inscription in the land register of the property. Until the land registry, the seller is still the owner.
The price is paid at a locked deposit per guarantee. These stages are extremely organized by the guarantor body of the law.
Time limits may vary depending on the clauses in the contract.
The most popular areas in Vienna are the city centre and districts 13-18-19.
Prices range from 130,000 euros for a studio apartment in the heart of Vienna, to much higher figures (1,000,000) for extreme luxury apartments.
In summary :
Vienna is ideal for those who are looking for a real estate investment thanks to the fast turnaround times and the excellent bureaucracy. The important thing is to start this search only after finding a stable job.
