To enter the islands just a valid passport (6 months from the date of return), but if you are interested in seeking employment, then you must obtain permission before arrival.

As far as health care is concerned, medical centres have a high cost but the services are truly exceptional. Family coverage is around 300 euros.
The current currency is the Cayman's dollar (value 0.94 euro). Being the nation a tax haven, it is not difficult to open a current account. The only documents required are :
-passport
-proof of identity
-evidence that the money has not been obtained unlawfully
As far as the cost of living is concerned, rent is one of the most important expenses in the budget of an individual or a family. We are talking about a very pleasant place to live, so everything is perfectly proportionate also in terms of the services that are offered, from education to excellent infrastructure, to political stability.
Even in the real estate market prices are quite high but, most importantly, there are no taxes of any kind to be applied on the property.
The real estate market is divided into two areas: the coastal area (the most popular is Seven Mile Beach) and the hinterland.
Among the most beautiful and lively locations include: the Grandview, Sunset Cove, Laguna del Mar, Seagull Condominiums. Lacovia, The Sovereign, The Pinnacle.
Monthly rentals range from 1,400 to 8,500 €.
But if you are willing to invest totally in the local brick, buying a healthy property, know that for the prices on the market, you will undoubtedly want to buy one of the wonderful villas.
Other areas ideal for renting are : South Sound (from 1,400 to 4,340 € per month); Canal-Front Living with a property value ranging from under 100,000 to just under 1 million €, going from medium to low to extra luxury; Prospect & Red Bay (1,100 to 2,500 € )
Then all remain to be discovered of the areas a little 'wilder and more pristine, and for this reason also decidedly more convenient.
