The largest country on the South American continent, home to the famous carnival of Rio and its footballing passion. It's useless to go around it, everyone knows Brazil well... or maybe not?
Are you also fascinated by this land but at the same time afraid before taking the big step? Well, if your desire is to buy a property in Brazil, you are right in the right article! We will give you all the useful advice and describe the pros and cons of this choice so radical but, at the same time, could prove really fruitful! So, are you ready to know more? Let's get started!
As always we start from the basics or the natural beauty of the place. Who has never dreamed of entering the famous Amazon forest? Well, the so-called '' Lung of the Earth '' (the Amazon basin) contains more than half of the entire Brazilian territory dominated by rainforest, with about a billion acres of extraordinary biodiversity. Not only that. This enchanted place is home to more than two million insects and over 2000 species of animals including birds and mammals. And if we talk about Brazil we can certainly not leave them, the waterfalls, numerous but all fascinating. The Iguaçu Falls are considered the most beautiful in the world! What if I tell you beach? Yes, Brazil is also the cradle of many wonderful beaches such as those of Ipanema and the famous Copacabana. And right here, in these long expanses of sand, you can come across popular foamy dances and some soccer balls that, for Brazilians is almost a religion.
After having extensively deepened this part of our mini guide, we move on to practice. What documents will you need to access Brazil?
The passport is required with a residual validity of at least six months for a stay not exceeding 90 days but, for any changes you can always contact the Consulate or Embassy of your country. For tourism or business trips, a visa is not required, but you simply need to present your round-trip ticket. To obtain a permanent visa, it will take about 7 days from the presentation of the relevant documentation.
The cost of living in Brazil is not so low, just think that the average salary of a Brazilian worker is around 2,000 BRL, more or less 600 euros per month. If we consider that a health plan costs between 8 and 100 euros per month, but increases from 50 years of age and that for basic necessities the expenditure ranges from 150 to 300 euros per month, we can conclude that it is not a country so convenient.
But which are the best cities to live in?
Let's start from the assumption that the high costs of Brazilian life are well proportioned to the quality of services and the many job opportunities. The best metropolis of all is Curitiba, with a high index of human development (the criterion most widely used in the United States). Other cities such as Rio, San Paolo and Salvador, with their undisputed beauty and culture, are however disadvantageous in terms of security (a scourge that unfortunately still afflicts Brazil) and climate.
Let's see now the prices of real estate in Brazil. You can also buy a house with 55,000 euros in Sao Paulo, but if you want to buy a house on the beach you can find really affordable opportunities (45,000 euros).
What can I say, Brazil is a land rich but poor in security. But we hope to have helped you to have more clarity to plan your trip!
